US golfer and Ryder Cup contender Bryson DeChambeau says even if he landed 18 holes-in-one, folks would still find something to criticize him about.
DeChambeau has been avoiding the media since early August when he sparked a massive outcry over his refusal to be vaccinated. The controversy since then has been literally never-ending.
When prodded by the media about his recent silence and withdrawal, DeChambeau said he’s only participating in the Ryder Cup for supporting Team USA and hopefully to help them towards a victory, and for no other reason.
DeChambeau has attracted so enormous an arcade of abuse that this has led to the PGA Tour sending out a specific warning to spectators to quit inciting the 28-year-old.
Of his feud with Brooks Koepka, the US golfer said there are times when it creates discomfort but also times when it fuels him on. He however stressed repeatedly that he would not be making any of the public’s reactions about him, but that instead, the time is now for all the attention to be on the competition at hand.
DeChambeau has recently been repeatedly alluding to the fact that he’s tired of his public brawl with Koepka, and that much of what’s been happening had been fueled by external parties and members of the media, instead of by the two men themselves.
Showing to blisters on his hands during a recent interview, DeChambeau appeared eager to emphasise that his full focus has been on competing in the Ryder Cup.
